On November 14, 2026, I will turn 31 years old.

On that very same day, I have been invited to a pilot casting day at a flight academy in Salzburg, Austria.

For most people, a birthday is a reason to celebrate another year of life.

For me, this birthday could mark the beginning of an entirely new life.

But there is one obstacle standing between me and the cockpit: money.

My name is Max, and I have a dream.

For the past eight years, aviation has been far more than a hobby to me.

I have spent approximately 5,000 hours in flight simulators, learning aircraft systems, practicing procedures, studying navigation, and experiencing the incredible complexity of operating a commercial airliner.

Five thousand hours.

Not a single one of those hours counts toward a real pilot's license.

And yet, every single one has brought me closer to understanding what I want to do with my life.

While others might see a computer game, I see checklists, instruments, navigation charts, flight planning, and a future I desperately want to make real.

I know the feeling of preparing a Boeing 737 for departure. I have practiced countless approaches and landings. I have communicated with other aviation enthusiasts in realistic online air traffic environments.

But I have never had the opportunity to turn that experience into a professional aviation career.

Because passion alone cannot pay for flight school.

I am not afraid of hard work.

I live in Germany and work full-time as a technical field service professional. I solve complicated technical problems, travel for work, and take responsibility for keeping critical systems operational.

I also take on additional work to improve my financial situation.

I know what it means to work long days, deal with pressure, and keep going when things become difficult.

I am not asking for an easy life.

I am asking for an opportunity to work harder toward something that truly matters to me.

Becoming an airline pilot requires extensive professional training, theoretical examinations, medical certification, practical flight hours, and demanding assessments.

I am willing to face all of it.

I have already taken my first steps by contacting flight schools and pursuing their selection processes.

But even if I prove that I have what it takes, I still face the enormous financial barrier of professional pilot training.

Why am I asking for $220,000?

Because becoming a professional pilot is not simply a matter of paying for flying lessons.

There are training fees, theoretical courses, examinations, required qualifications, travel, accommodation, and the basic costs of living while completing an intensive training program.

My fundraising goal is intended to cover the complete journey from my current position to becoming qualified to apply for a professional airline cockpit position.

I understand that $220,000 is an extraordinary amount of money.

It is an amount I cannot simply save from my salary in the foreseeable future.

And I understand that nobody owes me the realization of my dream.

But sometimes, a dream is too big for one person to carry alone.

What your support would mean

A donation would not buy me a pilot's license.

I would still have to pass every examination, every assessment, every flight test, and every medical requirement.

No amount of money can replace competence, commitment, or discipline.

Your support would give me the opportunity to prove myself.

I cannot promise that I will become an airline pilot. But I can promise that I will take the opportunity seriously and put everything I have into earning my place in the cockpit.

I intend to share meaningful updates about my selection process, training milestones, and the use of the funds.

One day, I want to look down from above the clouds.

Not through a computer screen.

Not from the passenger cabin.

But from the flight deck of an aircraft I have worked incredibly hard to learn how to fly.

I want to remember the people who helped me reach that moment.

The people who believed that an ordinary technician from Germany deserved the chance to pursue an extraordinary dream.

Perhaps you cannot donate. I understand that completely.

Even sharing this campaign with one person could make a difference.

And perhaps, somewhere in the world, there is someone reading this who once had a dream that seemed financially impossible.

Someone who remembers what it felt like to need just one opportunity.

I don't want someone to buy me wings.

I am asking for the chance to earn them.

Thank you for reading my story, for believing in dreams, and for helping me get one step closer to the sky.

With gratitude,

Max — Future Pilot, Hopefully.

Every donation brings this dream a little closer to reality.

Fundraising goal: $220,000 USD

Donations are voluntary contributions toward my training and related expenses, not investments or guarantees of any aviation qualification or future employment.
